Round Nine, the final round, was actually played at the Princes Street Venue, bringing at least a faint hope that we may be able to continue there next season, but don't bet on it, yet.
The other news is that Barclays One won, Cosmopolitan a close second just half a point behind made for a nailbiting last round. Barclays Two came tenth out of eleven, just ahead of Bank of England, both of whom had real problems getting their players out ... Yes, we had eleven teams, causing a jamboree, but that only happened three times because teams had some difficuties getting players out, probably exacerbated by the venue difficulties in 2017. Legal came a vey creditable third while Athenaeum just pipped BNP Paribas and Insurance who held the middle slot. Morgan Stanley's first season saw them equal with HSBC. RBS, Barclays Two and BoE complete the lineup.
